Day 01 : MON : Bangalore Depart :
Self Report by 4.30 pm at Hotel Taj West End ,Bangalore for check in
formalities of Golden Chariot Train Tour,followed by Hi-Tea & brief
presentation.
Proceed for culture program & arrive by 8.00 p.m. at Yashwantpura
Railway station for traditional welcome & be escorted to your respective
cabins.
Dinner on board.train & departs by 9.00 p.m. from Bangalore
Day 02 : TUE : Chennai & Mahapalipuram
Early morning train arrives in Chennai
After breakfast,drive down 2 hrs to Mahabalipuram beach town, to view
UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sea Shore Temples,dating back to 8th century
Day 03 : WED : Pondicherry
Morning excursion to Auroville commune, an unique effort in aspiring to
bring harmony amongst all the religions world orders
Afternoon walk through the Latin quarters of Old Pondicherry town,built in
late 19th Century by it's former French Colonial Rulers

04 : THURS : Tanjavur Temple Town
Morning visit the 11th century built Brihadeshwara Temple, - an
architectural marvel ,made out of hard granite stones & now declared an
UNESCO World Heritage Site
The town is also famous for its unique Tanjavur style paintings and
Tanjavur dolls
Day 05 : FRI : Madurai Temple Town
Morning visit one of the holiest sacred spot for Hindus-The Meenakshi
temple,which was first constructed more than 2500 years ago,but present work
was completed in early 17th century.
The temple complex is spread over 45 acres & is a massive structure
measuring 254 by 237 meter. The temple is surrounded by 12 towers, the
tallest of which, the famous Southern tower, rises to over 170 ft .
There are four different gates to enter the temple complex & it's 1000
pillared decorative hall is an architectural wonder
Evening enjoy Sound & Light show in The Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal,former
Palace of Madurai Royalty.
Day 06 : SAT : Kanyakumari & Kovallam
Early morning 5 a.m.drive down 1/2 hour to Kanyakumari,to snatch Sunrise
photo moment ;over 3 oceans at southernmost tip of Indian Peninsula.
Late Afternoon excursion to World famous Kovallam beach
Day 07 : SUN : Kerala backwaters & Cochin
Morning enjoy boat cruise through the narrow channel waterways of Vembanad
Lake at Alleppey. Lunch in lakeside resort
Later proceed for excursion to Ancient port town of Cochin,now a modern
city
Day 08 : MON : Bangalore Return
The train arrives back at Yashwantpura Railway station,Bangalore by 9.30
a.m.

Booking Procedure :
For Bookings requests on Train Tour.
- Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of MINIMUM 20% Advance Deposit
with Names of Passengers.
- Balance payment with Passport Details must reach us 45 days before
Tour Departure Date.
- If booking request made less than 45 days before tour departure
date,we will require full 100% payment to confirm the booking.

Cancellation Rules :
1. Cancellation Request for Golden Chariot Train Tour must be sent in
writing.
2. If cancellation request received anytime before 61 days of Tour
Date,MINIMUM 5% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
3. If cancellation request received between 60 to 31 days before Tour
Date,MINIMUM 20% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
4. If cancellation request received between 16 to 30 days before Tour
Date,MINIMUM 50% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
5. If cancellation request received less than 16 days before Tour Date,Full
100% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.

- Liability of Lawrence Travels & Tours Pvt Ltd, New delhi is
restricted to that of booking agent only & not that of Principal

- Overseas Guests are advised to pre-purchase tour insurance from
country of origin of travel
- Travel Booking is non endorsable & governed by cancellation rules
Request for postponement of journey date is governed by cancellation
rules .
- In case a journey needs to be cancelled, due to lack of minimum
tourists, a minimum 15 Days notice will be provided to Guests & full
advance amount refunded
- Train manager Reserves the right to amend/curtail the day to day
program at short notice
- Foreign Nationals are advised to contact the nearest Indian Consulate
to complete the VISA Formalities
- Disputes (if any) are subject to jurisdiction of courts of New
Delhi(India) only
