The former Metre Gauge A/c Palace On Wheels Train (with sharing toilets) is now operating on a New Three Nights Desert Circuit in North Rajasthan Ex.Jaipur;since early 2006 ;& NOW renamed as Heritage On Wheels Train.

This Heritage Train is a joint venture of Indian Railways & Rajasthan Tourism & onboard services are managed by former experienced staff of Palace On Wheels Train.

The Three Nights Train Tour operates annually from Sept to April & departs bi-weekly Ex.Jaipur ,every Tuesday & Friday.

DETAILED DAY TO DAY PROGRAM
(3 Nights Heritage On Wheels Train Tour)

DAY 01 : TUE/FRI : JAIPUR Depart
Report by 1830 hrs at Jaipur Railway Station (platform No.6-Meter Gauge tracks) for check-in formalities & board Heritage On Wheels Train Tour.
1930 Hrs- Depart from Jaipur for Bikaner.
Dinner on board.

DAY 02 : WED/SAT : BIKANER
After breakfast on board,by 0900 hrs. proceed for morning tour of Desert Town of Bikaner & Early morning 0730 hrs enjoy Jeep Ride through Tal Chhapar Black buck deer sanctuary.
Return to Heritage train for onboard breakfast & train proceed to Ramgarh.
Noon, enjoy excursion to open art gallery of painted havelis in Mehnsar, Mandawa & Nawalgarh villages.
Lunch at Mandawa Castle Heritage Hotel.
Late afternoon return to Heritage train for brief rest.
Evening depart for Mukundgarh Castle Heritage Hotel for dinner & cultural program.
Return to Heritage Train by 2145 hrs & depart for Bikanner.

DAY 03 : THURS/SUN : GAME SANCTUARY & SHEKHAWATI
After breakfast on board,by 0900 hrs. proceed for morning tour of Desert Town of Bikaner & visit Jain temples,local mansions,16th century built Junagadh Fort & enjoy Horse Tonga ride.Time free for shopping.
Return to Heritage Train for Lunch & brief rest.
At 1530 hrs proceed for visit to Camel research farm followed by High tea at Heritage Hotel.
In evening drive down to Gajner Palace Heritage Lakeside Hotel for Dinner.
Return to Heritage Train by 2230 hrs. & depart for Jaipur.

DAY 04 : FRI/MON : JAIPUR Return
Heritage Train Tour returns back to Jaipur Railway Station early morning; & bid adiu to other tour members by 0730 hrs after early breakfast.

The Metre Gauge Heritage On Wheels Train Tour is a joint venture between Indian Railways & Rajasthan Tourism & there are strict terms & conditions for booking & cancellation etc.
1. The Heritage On Wheels Train will only operate subject to having minimum Ten Paying Passengers.
2. The Onboard Train Management reserves the right to curtail published tour & day excursions etc,on short notice,to suit local logistics -without any liability.
3. Disputes,IF ANY,are subject to juridiction of Courts of ONLY New Delhi(INDIA).

BOOKING PROCEDURE (HOW Train)
(Amended on 10th May,2007)
(a) Bookings will be accepted on receipt of names of all the passengers with nationality.
(b) Minimum 50% Advance deposit will have to be forwarded to hold booking on definite basis.
(c) Balance/Full Tour amount with Passport Details(Passport No,Place & date of Issue) must reach us atleast 65 days before departure date

CANCELLATION PROCEDURE : (HOW Train Tour)
(Amended on 10 May,2007)
(i) Only written cancellation requests will be entertained
(ii) All requests for Change in Name of pasengers OR Tour Departure Date,will be governed by Cancellation rules.
(iii) For cancellation requests recieved more than 61 days before tour date; MINIMUM 5% Cancellation fee of Total Ticket value is applicable.
(iv) For cancellation requests recieved more than 31 days before tour date; MINIMUM 20% Cancellation fee of Total Ticket value is applicable.
(v) For cancellation requests recieved less than 30 days before tour date,100% Cancellation fee of Total Ticket value is applicable.
