Built on the lines of World Famous- Palace On Wheels; this latest addition to Maharaja Train Tours of India, will launch it's first commercial run from 10th March,2008. The Golden Chariot Train is a joint venture between Indian Railways & Karnataka tourism. The Weekly Eight days sojourn on the Golden Chariot Train will start from Silicon Valley of The east,Bangalore, every Monday Evening. The places covered include visits to Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary(Kabini);Mysore Palace,Vrindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna Fort; Hosalya temples at Belur & Halebidu ; Jain monolith of Lord Gomatesvara ;UNESCO World Heritage sites located at Hampi,Pattadekal & Badami;Goan beaches.

Day 01 : MON : Bangalore Depart :
Tiger in Nagarhole Wildlife Reserve

Check in Starts at 1800 hrs in evening & train departs by 1900 hrs.

Day 02 : TUE :
Excursion to Nagarhole Wildlife Reserve-through dense green forest,along River Kabini;for possible sighting of Tiger,Wild Elephants & the elusive leopard.

Day 03 : WED :
Visit the impressive Mysore Palace, Vrindavan Gardens & Srirangapatnam Fort.

Day 04 : THURS :
Morning excursion to 12th century built Hosalya temples at Halebid & Belur.Afternoon visit towering Jain monolith at Shravanabelagola.

Day 05 : FRI :
Excursion to World Heritage Site at Hampi -seat of mighty Vijayanagar Empire from 14th to 16th Century.

Day 06 : SAT :
Monument at Hampi Golden Chariot

Morning visit the cradle of Hindu rock architecture at Aihole-dating back to 4th century; & World Heritage Site of Pattadakal Chalukyan temples,dating back to 3rd century.Afternoon excursion to World Heritage Site of Badami-with it's beautiful cave temples ,dating back to 6th century.

Day 07 : SUN :
Day at leisure in former Portuguese colony of Goa.

Day 08 : MON :
Tours ends on Arrival at Bangalore by 1100 hrs.

The luxuorisly furnished Air Conditioned Golden Chariot Train,with interiors inspired by intricate architecture of Hosalya temples,invoke the memory of bygone Mysore Royalty. There are Eleven Passenger Saloons of Four Sleeping Chambers(cabins) each;Two Dining Cars with onboard Kitchen; Bar Lounge Saloon; & facilities of Conference Space,Business Center,Mini Gymnasium,Aryuvedic Spa center.

The Weekly Golden Chariot Luxurious Train tour will start regular commercial operations from 10th March,2008 & cris-cross the lovely countryside of Karnataka & Goa over next seven days.
Golden Chariot departs Bangalore every Monday Evening & returns back to Bangalore next Monday morning.

Booking Procedure :
For Bookings requests on The Golden Chariot Train Tour.
(1) Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of MINIMUM 20% Advance Deposit with Names of Passengers.
(2) Balance payment with Passport Details must reach us 45 days before Tour Departure Date.
(3) If booking request made less than 45 days before tour departure date,we will require full 100% payment to confirm the booking.

Payment Options :
You can make payment Either by Credit Card Authorization(Visa/Mastercard) ; OR Bank Wire Transfer.

Cancellation Rules :
(a) Cancellation Request for Golden Chariot Train Tour must be sent in writing.
(b) If cancellation request received anytime before 61 days of Tour Date,MINIMUM 5% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
(c) If cancellation request received between 60 to 31 days before Tour Date,MINIMUM 20% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
(d) If cancellation request received between 16 to 30 days before Tour Date,MINIMUM 50% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.
(e) If cancellation request received less than 16 days before Tour Date,Full 100% of Total Tour Cost will charged as cancellation Fee.

IMPORTANT :
(i) Golden Chariot Train will only operate ,subject to having minimum passengers.
(ii) Facility to book part journey may be possible,subject to occupancy on the Golden Chariot.
(iii) Disputes,if any,are only subject to jurisdiction of New Delhi(India).
(iv) At present,there is no concept of Tour Insurance in India.
